Ecco il comunicato del Lione che annuncia l’acquisizione del centrocampista brasiliano per 20 milioni di euro più il 15% sulla futura rivendita:
“Born in Rio de Janeiro, the 23-year-old versatile midfielder trained at Flamengo before starting his professional career in 2016 with the Carioca club. In three years, he played 95 matches and scored 18 goals. These statistics saw him called up for Brazil and be named to the 2018 Brazilian Serie A Team of the Year, a year ahead of his compatriot and friend Bruno Guimaraes having done the same.
Winner of the 2019 Copa America with the Seleção with whom he has 11 caps, Lucas Paquetá was spotted by Juninho, who convinced him of OL’s ambitions.
In January 2019, Lucas Paquetá joined AC Milan for a record transfer of €39M. The left-footed attacking midfielder has played 44 matches in a season and a half in Milan, scoring one goal.
OL, without waiting for the end of the transfer window, negotiated his transfer in the amount of €20M, including a 15% sell-on fee.
Olympique Lyonnais are very happy to welcome Lucas Paquetá, the 22nd Brazilian player in the club’s history following the arrival of Bruno Guimaraes last January, making him the sixth Brazilian in the current squad.”
Un grosso in bocca al lupo a Lucas Paquetà per la sua prossima avventura in terra transalpina.
